Students from NEA GERMANIKA Educational Centre took part in the national round of the international English language competition KGL 2026, organised by the Association of Cambridge Schools in Bulgaria. Participation in this stage of the competition is a significant achievement and is the result of serious preparation, persistence and interest in learning English.
The national round of KGL 2026 this year was held in two schools in Sofia – the Vocational High School of High Technologies “Alexander Stepanovich Popov” and 43rd Primary School “Hristo Smirnenski”. In this stage, students who have shown very good results in the previous stages of the competition and have reached the national level after a successful performance meet.
KGL 2026 is an international English language competition held annually, bringing together students from different countries. The aim of the competition is to encourage interest in learning English, to develop students’ language skills and to give them the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge in a competitive and motivating environment. Thousands of students take part in the various stages of the competition, competing at different levels depending on their age and language proficiency.
The tasks in KGL 2026 cover various aspects of English language proficiency – grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension and logical thinking skills. The format of the competition requires participants not only to have good language knowledge, but also the ability to think quickly, concentrate and apply what they have learned in different situations.
For the students, participation in KGL 2026 is a valuable experience and an opportunity to meet peers from different cities and schools who also share an interest in the English language. Such competitions stimulate the pursuit of development, encourage students’ confidence, and give them the chance to test their level of preparation in a national and international context.
Educational Centre NEA GERMANIKA traditionally encourages its students to participate in such initiatives, which develop their knowledge, skills, and confidence in using the English language. Participation in the national round of KGL 2026 is yet another proof of the high level of preparation and motivation of the students.
From NEA GERMANIKA, we congratulate all participants on their efforts, achievements, and dignified performance. Our wish for them is to continue developing their knowledge, to follow their pursuit of self-improvement, and to achieve many more future successes.
