Children’s Early Development Academy Opens in Kardzhali
The first Early Childhood Development Centre in the Kardzhali region has opened its doors. It was established as part of the Children’s Academy for Early Development and Innovation in Education at NEA GERMANIKA Language Centre. The centre aims to expand access to innovative educational activities for children aged 3 and above, helping them prepare for compulsory preschool education and their subsequent transition to school. In addition, the academy’s team aims to encourage the active involvement of parents and support them in promoting their children’s early development and access to high-quality education.
At the NEA GERMANIKA Children’s Academy, a variety of approaches and working methods will be used to support children’s personal and spiritual growth, strengthen their critical thinking and encourage their creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
“There is now undeniable scientific evidence that a child’s brain develops most rapidly during the first years of life.” – said Ms Svetla Zhelyazkova.
That is precisely why NEA GERMANIKA has taken on the challenging task of introducing and applying early childhood development methods in the Kardzhali region.
Ms Zhelyazkova invited us to visit the creative workshops held every Saturday, which help develop children’s talents and creativity. She also revealed the topic of the next session: “Welcome, Autumn!” The workshop team promises a different and engaging theme each time, along with plenty of joy and fun for the children. We also learned that, in addition to the projects already underway in creative and musical development, Montessori classes for children aged 3–6 are also planned.
The Montessori educational method is recognised as one of the best in the world. It is a revolutionary approach that explores and supports children’s natural development. Children develop problem-solving skills, creativity and critical thinking, while learning to become confident and well-rounded members of society. The fundamental principle of the Montessori system is the child’s freedom and personal choice. When children are given the opportunity to make choices and see the results of those choices, their self-esteem and confidence grow, helping them become more confident, happy and independent. The motto of Montessori education is: “Help me do it myself!”
