The teenage years are a crucial period for maintaining motivation to learn English and other foreign languages. Teenagers are capable of organizing and controlling their own activities, yet their attention is often inconsistent. Their quick mental fatigue leads to unstable focus. Therefore, for the learning process to be effective and beneficial for the child’s development, they must be continuously stimulated and encouraged to study.
Course Objectives:
The main objectives for this age group are strengthening the foundation of the language and improving speaking skills. Developing all four competencies (writing, reading, listening, speaking) will allow the student to feel confident both in school exams and in international examinations. The teachers at NEA GERMANIKA Language Centre will maintain the learner’s interest in English and other languages, while teaching independence and initiative.
Teaching Methodology:
At this age, students tend to be impatient and very active. To keep them motivated in learning a language, we have selected special topics that are particularly engaging for teenagers. Our teaching approach is based on maximum immersion in the language environment. For students who have partially mastered the school curriculum, teachers begin by systematizing their knowledge and reinforcing key areas such as grammar, listening, and phonetics. For complete beginners, a separate group is formed, where the material is introduced from the very basics.
The curriculum covers all aspects of the language. Special attention is given to grammar, vocabulary expansion, phonetics, and improving speaking habits. This allows students not only to achieve high grades in school but also to communicate confidently with foreigners. The internationally recognized Common European Framework (CEF) forms the foundation of the program, ensuring a solid basis for preparing for international exams.
Learning Format:
Lessons are held twice a week and last 90 minutes. Small groups (up to 10 students) allow the teacher to actively involve each learner in the educational process. Video and audio materials are used extensively, making the lessons not only informative but also engaging. Educational games motivate students to perform at their best and to master the foreign language with confidence.
We understand that it is especially important for parents to track their child’s progress and dedication. Therefore, our monitoring includes not only homework and classroom performance but also the student’s systematic knowledge. After each module, we conduct tests. We are always ready to inform you about the progress and results of your child’s learning. We also welcome parents to open lessons, which are held at the end of each term. The results of interim and final tests make it possible to track your child’s development throughout the course of studying English and other languages.
